Review highlights

Based on 6,252 reviews

Customers consistently praise Lao Chiang Nantai for its flavorful breakfast offerings, particularly highlighting the egg pancakes and pork floss toast as standout items. The restaurant is noted for its reasonable pricing and casual, welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular choice for morning meals. The milk tea, especially the red milk tea, receives positive remarks for its fragrance and balanced sweetness, though some patrons find the premixed options limiting for sugar preferences. Additionally, the shop’s packaged snacks, like green onion nougat crackers, are appreciated as convenient gifts. While tea enthusiasts might seek alternative spots for a wider variety, Lao Chiang Nantai’s strength lies in its well-executed breakfast dishes and value-driven menu.

Went on a weekday around 10am so there was not much of a crowd. I got the 火腿蛋饼 and 红茶牛奶. The 蛋饼was good, milk tea was fragrant, sweetness is just right for me. It's good but not the best I've had. Also bought a few boxes green onion nougat crackers ($260 got 2 boxes) which the shop says can be stored at room temp up to 1 month so it's the perfect gift.

One of the better egg pancakes! Super crispy and flavorful. Had the chicken / pork floss and the mung bean milk tea.

The toast is great. Able to add the floss and corn to complete the turkey ham toast. The milk tea is pre-mixed and pre-packed so there isn’t a zero sugar option. You can choose their black tea for a zero sugar option. Overall, coming for the toast is sufficient and there are other better tea options elsewhere (even though their brand is based on their tea…)
